secretary of state for secretary clinton and host of the radio talk show host of the dana show. let me start with you. i'm getting weary with the relentless attacks first on susan rice and now on hillary clinton. there's a whisper to it and it's getting, i think, washington orientated rather than in the national interest of america. what do you think? >> i think there are legitimate questions that still need to be answered. as hillary clinton said today, the fbi is still working on the investigation. director mueller was in libya and tunisia recently. i get disappointed when people give half of the story. the guy has been released. as hillary clinton said today, yes, but he's under constant surveillance within tunisia and following the rule of law and as more evidence becomes available, they are prepared to act on him again. i think as hillary clinton said dramatically, our focus here now is to bring these guys to justice but also to understand benghazi in the context of what's happening over the last few days to understand the evolving threat from al qaeda and to deal appropriately with tha

bloodied by one of the most notorious shootings in california history. dana bash was over at the emotional announcement on capitol hill. tell our viewers, dana, how it unfolded. >> reporter: wolf, of all of the gun control measures that president obama announced earlier this month, banning the assault weapons at least reviving the ban is going to be the most difficult to pass here in congress. even the primary senate sponsor says it will take years. for dianne feinstein, it's personal. >> supervisor harvey milk have been shot and killed. >> reporter: the death of her colleagues, including harvey milk, the first openly gay public official in america was so traumatic, she rarely discusses it. you were very close to that tragic shooting. but here at the launch, she announced it great detail. >> i was the one who found supervisor milk's body and put a finger in a bullet hole trying to get a pulse. once you have been through one of these episodes, one you see what the crime scene is like, it changes your view of weapons. >> she put on an elaborate event. even getting permission from d.c. to dis

. dana bash is live in washington. let's talk about dianne feinstein's props first. she's going to be holding a bushmasterer? >> reporter: i'm not sure if she'll be holding it. she might. she will have more than one assault weapon and she's going to have them on display. there you see the bushmaster ar-15. that is was, of course, the kind of weapon used in the newtown shootings. but the reason she is going to do this, i'm told, is to show specifically her fellow democrat, of which there are half a dozen or more that want to do little if anything to change the assault weapon laws, that you don't need these kinds of guns in the average of ordinary people. that is likely the argument she is going to make. again, it's going to be aimed at her fellow democrats resistant to this. but she is going to have a lot of different people with her to make this argument. this is the unveiling of the premier key legislation she promised to put out at the beginning of congress right after newtown. we are expecting to have quite a show when she comes up in about an hour. >> just so people understa
